Daniel Epstein – Founder & CEO, Unreasonable Group

Daniel’s life has been shaped by a fundamental belief that entrepreneurship is the answer to nearly all the issues we face today. By the time he received his undergraduate degree in philosophy, he’d already started three companies. In 2012 he was recognized by Inc. Magazine as a “30 under 30 entrepreneur” and by Forbes as one of the “top 30 most impactful entrepreneurs” of the year. In 2013, he received the prestigious “Entrepreneur of the World” award along with Richard Branson at the Global Entrepreneurship Forum.

I’m obsessed with one belief – I believe entrepreneurship is the answer to the greatest issues we face today and I’ve dedicated my life accordingly. Today, this passion for entrepreneurship and startups has led to the creation of the Unreasonable Group. Our push is to create a collective family of companies that will, together, put the greatest challenges of our time where they belong… in a museum. Of course, like everyone’s story, mine is filled with setbacks, false hopes, and tribulations spotted with moments of luck and good timing. And yet, even with the struggles and the grind, I’ve always loved startups. By the time I had finished my freshman year in undergrad, I had launched 3 companies (more like experiments).

Today, I keep myself busy with the many projects under the Unreasonable Group, like the Unreasonable Institute, Unreasonable Adventures, Unreasonable.is, Unreasonable at Sea, and Unreasonable Media as well as writing, speaking, and running with my dog in beautiful Boulder, CO.
